Purpose-Built Pumping and Temperature Control for a Two-Year Hire

PETRO Hire supplied a 12,000L LT Emulsion Tank and customised the associated pumping, pipework and control equipment to meet the customer’s specific requirements.

The tank’s protected service compartment was fitted with an engineered pumping system incorporating the required pump, valves, fittings, flanged connections and electrical controls.

The arrangement was designed to provide the transfer path and operating control required for the customer’s emulsion-handling process.

Because temperature was critical to the application, the relevant process pipework was fitted with insulation and protective lagging. This helped reduce heat loss through the transfer system and supported the consistent movement of the temperature-sensitive product.

Locating the equipment within the enclosed service compartment also helped protect the pump, controls and pipework from the surrounding industrial environment while keeping the system accessible for inspection and maintenance.

The result was a fully integrated hire package—not simply a tank delivered with a generic pump attached.

PETRO Hire supplied a self-bunded diesel tank configured with an iPETRO Lite Fuel Management System for convenient and controlled on-site dispensing.

The tank was positioned in a designated area where landscaping crews could access it at the beginning of the day, during scheduled breaks or when equipment returned to the central compound.

By bringing bulk diesel storage directly to the project, the contractor created a reliable refuelling point for its compact excavators, loaders, commercial mowing equipment and other diesel-powered machinery.

The iPETRO Lite system provided an additional layer of control by recording each refuelling transaction. Authorised operators and individual pieces of equipment could be identified, allowing the contractor to see who accessed the tank, which machine was refuelled and exactly how many litres were dispensed.

Transaction data was integrated with the iPETRO VMI Cloud platform, giving the contractor convenient access to its site fuel information and reporting.
